Heart of Sutjeska – 5 Days
Five days in the heart of Bosnia's largest national park. Maglić, camping at Trnovačko Lake, mountain homesteads, canyoning, Zelengora and Perućica rainforest — authentic, unhurried, uncompromising.

About the Tour
Some tours you visit. Others change you. This is the second kind.
Five days in Sutjeska National Park means five days without rush, without office emails and without false priorities. It means summiting Maglić, sleeping in a tent at Trnovačko Lake, having breakfast with people who live on a mountain homestead without electricity or signal, canyoning through Hrčavka, and easy walks on Zelengora until nature simply brings you back to yourself.
What makes this tour different from anything else on the market isn't the itinerary on paper — it's the details that aren't on paper. Coffee with Miloš at Prijevor, a man who has spent his whole life here and knows every stone of this mountain. Breakfast at the katun — homemade cheese, kajmak, warm milk, prosciutto — prepared on the spot by people who still live the way people lived three hundred years ago. A cold beer from the spring by the fire in the evening, while Trnovačko Lake lies before you silent and perfect.
The tour is organised exclusively for private groups of 6 to 16 people. Transport to Foča is arranged separately — we organise transfers from Belgrade, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Podgorica, Zagreb and Tirana by arrangement, not included in the price.
Petar is with you for all five days.
Highlights
Itinerary
The group meets in Foča and we drive in off-road vehicles to Prijevor at around 1,520m elevation. While the equipment is transported to Trnovačko Lake, we set off on the ascent to Maglić.
The climb takes around 3.5 to 4 hours and is physically demanding. We move at a controlled pace with breaks and lunch packs. The view from the summit — Zelengora, Volujak, Lebršnik, Treskavica and the Adriatic in the distance — is a reward that justifies every step.
From the summit we descend to Trnovačko Lake, where the camp and dinner await. Evening by the fire on the shore of one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Balkans. No signal, no phones — just the fire, the group and the silence of the mountain.
